[Image: White text on a black background that reads: “It’s time we were honest about who the real welfare queens are - not the desperate for work, or the working poor, or the ailing middle class, but the Ultra Rich and corporations who get the benefits of a strong government without ever paying for it in taxes.”]
I’ll never get why folks are so outraged over “poor people on food stamps” but are cool with corporate welfare.
Because apparently the idea of very rich people getting everything for free, basically, doesn’t bother those who have been taught to identify with wealth above them rather than be empathetic to poverty around.
Also, power + wealth + white supremacy = sociopathic responses and support for predatory organizations and groups rather than those they prey on.
